Absolute tops. I have used Sta So Cool for repairs on three different systems over 20+ years and they are always superb. A small family business. Daniel did our last job and he was super methodical and explained everything well, just like Dave has always done. Prices are fair. Dave has always taken the time to explain how the system works and what is wrong and what the options are. He has taught me how to handle small issues like bad capacitors on my own and this has saved me $ over the years. Dave is very engineering-minded and I think he has passed that on to Daniel.

I tried one of the bigger companies once and all they wanted to do was replace the system. The big companies want to do new installs, replacements, warranty work and service plans, but only Sta So Cool is willing to do the grunge work of troubleshooting, fixing leaks, replacing parts, and keeping old systems running. They are a real treasure. The only room for improvement is, occasionally they are busy and communication is not the easiest, and it might be many weeks till they bill me. But I don't see myself using anyone else as long as Sta So Cool is in business.

Dave Staso and his team definitely go the extra mile to install HVAC systems with optimum efficiency. They replaced my worn out heat pump with gas backup. We went with a high efficiency heat pump. It’s much more cost effective and the house feels warm even on very cold mornings! They also found and corrected several issues with the ducting that reduced the efficiency of my old system. Couldn’t be happier!

Living in SOMD it’s really hard to come by really good contractors—someone that does quality work, is knowledgeable, & provides an honest assessment of what you really need (this naturally translates to money savings for the customer). After my wife and I were quoted for over $2,500 in repairs from Boothe's, I decided to reach back out to this company. Dave runs an honorable company with employees that we can trust. I've found this to be a rarity for HVAC, unfortunately. Their repairs were under $700 in comparison. They didn't gouge us or try to scare us into buying a new unit or paying for a "search of the problem". If you want a company that will be fair and honest call Dave or Dan and they will help to fix your problems within reason for a quality price. I won't ever go anywhere else again.
