If you’re taking Metrolink, buy the ticket online or at the kiosk on the west side of the station (outside). The rail line closest to the building is for Metrolink. Trains are on time, and a great option for the price. Weekend rates are exceptionally good.

Beautiful old Train Depot building. Large arched wooden architecture inside. Lounging area in bathroom.
Wifi and cool inside
Food snack. Across street is grocery store.
*Security took interest in which train I was taking, even told me, "I'll give you until next train" (which extended my stay hours to make point) *star deduction- could have been lower bc of that, benefit of doubt that they were menstrual

Metrolink Station.
Very nice. Clean and safe. Trains are clean and on time.
Bathroom here and plenty of seating.
Lobby has open hours.
Kiosk to buy metrolink tickets or use app on phone.
Greyhound here too.
Small snack stand in lobby.
2 Security and staff were nice.
Restaurants in front of station. Pupusas
Trains to union Station LA and in between. Check monitor outside for platform. Platform 2 to La. Almost every hour train. schedule online.

Train inside is nice comfy seats. Some tables. AC on. Some outlets w tables.

Staff check tickets.
Some quiet cars need to have earphones.

Nose Dive

While waiting for my Greyhound bus, I walked in to ask for a glass of hot water from the eatery to make tea from bags I brought from home. Was told they charge a $1 for hot water. Since when? Also, I walked across the promenade to ask business if they would provide me with hot water and gotten same response...since when are businesses charging for water out of the tap? Even if they charge for a cup, a $1 is still outrageous. This world is all but going down in flames of shame and embarrassment. What a disservice to ourselves.

Such a beautiful & old building with alot to see. They have light refreshments available for purchase and t-shirts/souvenirs. Safe area with security and surveillance, never had any issues. Walking distance from three different food places and a grocery store.

Catching the metrolink is much better/ safer at the depot Vs catching the train in downtown, definitely a big difference.

The San Bernardino depot located in the foothills city of San Bernardino,California
is a fully operational Amtrak,Metrolink and commercial railroad depot and is a historic landmark as well.San Bernardino Depot has ticketing,Stevies Snack Shop,The San Bernardino History and rail museum,lots of free parking and nearby restaurants to grab a meal or to take with you on the trains.Superior market is nearby if you need supplies before you travel.
The San Bernardino Depot is a great place not only to catch a train to your next destination but to visit and see the historical buildings and working trains.
A great family adventure for a visit and meal or before you leave to your adventure to"parts unknown"!

Greyhound bus stops at the far end of parking lot away from the main depot and all of services (food, restrooms, comfortable seating and shade).
