It's a little bit busy but it is a very convenient subway station when traveling around Philadelphia as a tourist.
The train was on time and the trains run very frequently so catching a train is very easy and convenient.

definitely my favorite station on the Market-Frankford Line (EL) because of the LED ceiling supports on both platforms

Major changes have b÷n made at the station you can't just walk to the bathroom you have to have a key card to swipe to get to the turnstiles to get to the new bathroom which is only for custermers traveling on the train. The new changes are to keep the homeless people from hiding out in the bathroom.

Where do I begin? It’s a maze! It lacks maps that tell you how to get from one point to another! It is so easy to get lost here! This place has so much potential because once you learn how to navigate, it is so nice to be able to connect to the subway to the regional rail lines on a cold rainy day. Also smells like a restroom and is not the cleanest station in the world. I once saw rats here! Personally I avoid this station and will either get off at 30th St. Station or Jefferson Station because of the cleanliness.

Too dangerous to enter. The majority of the time multiple entrances to this station are locked off to keep the public safe. There is way too much crime in the city of Philadelphia and the municipal government does absolutely nothing to address it. It's like they're waging a war on their own residents.

Despite being a central and important station, it wasn't terribly clean nor welcoming. The corridors are confusing and lacks waysigns for service counters, amenities, etc. (I was looking for Septa service counter and Post Office and had to wander around aimlessly until I found it). However, the rail service itself moves quickly even when crowded.

I have been catching the train here 30 years. Not much changed. Still dirty n smells bad. My biggest compliant in the last two years is the on going construction. Its dragging out too long. Please open all the stairways before people get trapped down there!!!
