This was my first time at Jefferson Station. I was very impressed with the Lady who assisted me. She answered the many questions l had very politely. The Station was clean, no trash, no one begging for money. I was afraid to ride the train this was a great experience for me. Thanks Jefferson Septa for easing my anxiety.

All of SEPTA s trains come through here. They have electronic schedule boards to help you stay up to time on your train. They have an information desk to help you out. There some benches on the platforms and many chairs with side desks upstairs. The restrooms are located so there also. Added bonuses lots of stores to shop in and plenty of eateries. Cinnabon Dunkin Donuts Tiffany Bakery Starbucks Philly Pretzel and the Reading Terminal is up the steps thru the door and cross the street.

Can someone please explain to me the point of opening hours if nobody is there at the desk. 5:55pm is not 6pm, 6pm is 6pm. In fact, 5:55pm is before 6pm, for those of you who learned how time works in first grade. And maybe if someone had been there, I wouldn't have been screwed by the kiosk when buying my tickets. Nope, now it's on ME to get my change back that I'm owed because "some change could not be delivered" by the machine. Word of advice: don't pay with a 20.
Do better, Septa.

As a native this has always been my favorite station to use getting around the city. I used to take the R7 home to North Philly train station from the Gallery Mall.

As someone not having lived here for 13 years and not used to be construction it was hard navigating. When you are inside the mall the station is easy to find. If you are being dripped off its hard to find a door to the station. Its weird to explain. I got dropped off at Reading Terminal. I knew I had to use a certain entrance. Thank God I happened to look into a window and realized it was an entrance ti the station.

Septa please put out something on the ztreet to direct folks to the station otherwise they will miss it. This is one of the most comfortable and clean stations Septa has to offer. Just wish their trains were the same albeit the Airport train was clean and I appreciated the side doors they have now.

The kiosks on the platform did not wirk so I had to pay on the train. $8 instead of $6.75. I was bummed about that. Also the esclator didn't work so I couldn't go upstairs to use the restroom with a big suitcase. Septa please address these issues.

My train came in late (after 11 p.m.) and while I have been there often before, it was a real challenge finding my way out of the building. Almost all of the stairs and escalators were blocked. There were even doors chained shut. If there was an emergency there was no clear way out. It was almost a bit spooky. However I eventually found a staff member that was able to point me to an open staircase.

The neighborhood is awful. Dirty and filled with homelessness. There is garbage everywhere. However, if you need to be in the Convention Center and Center City area, this station stop is the best way to get to and from the Phil Airport. Even with my seemingly negative view of this station, I will use it again during my next trip because it continues to be the best option from the airport.

It's clean, security is decent, you don't have people shooting up/smoking drugs out in the open or anywhere in the station for that matter. You also don't have people begging for change inside the terminal. Outside on the street is there a different story though here in center City Philadelphia right at Chinatown. But it's still not as rampant as it is other parts of the city. Is a pretty nice area, and it's kept clean and patrolled regularly by SEPTA and Philadelphia police. I've never had an issue going there or in the surrounding area. not even Begging me for change like anywhere else.
