Two courthouses are under the same roof here in old city hall. The Ontario Court of Justice is a criminal courthouse and Provincial Offences Act Court is a traffic and bylaws courthouse. The numbering of the rooms are very special in this building. You might think that 101, 111 and 121 are all on the first floor but actually 101 is on the ground floor, 111 is on the first floor and 121 is on the second floor.

If you are planning on coming here before 430 do not bother. They need to state on their website that they close counters at 415. I got here before 4:30 and I couldn’t even pay my ticket when they were all behind the counter just talking. RIDICULOUS!!!!!!

The Divisional Court is a complete waste of time, money and taxpayers dollars and an utter and complete disgrace to the entire justice system!

The panel does not even READ the entire file, after the parties spend MONTHS working on the case and perfecting the appeal.

The panel then has the nerve to deny leave to appeal without reason and even order costs of $5,000!!!!? (even when you're likely to have WON the appeal!!!!!!)

We won't ever pay that!

Not after such incompetence and injustice and the obscene amount of work that we did! And we were likely to win the Appeal!

The Divisional Court now even chooses to "give reasons" in some cases and not others (when they deny leave), which is unfair and bias. Look on CANLII for the proof!

Maybe if the panel did their job and provided actual justice to people, I could see the need for your court.

They deny almost every case that comes their way (unless you're paying thousands and thousands of dollars). The judges are RUDE beyond belief.

Div court should be abolished. They only take cases that "they feel like taking"

They expect "the world" and expect all documents to be "perfect, prefect, perfect" and then they don't even provide proper justice and deny leave to appeal even when there is full evidence before them that lower court judge erred in law!

I've been doing court cases all my life and I have never seen such a disgrace and injustice in the Divisional Court!

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TAKE YOUR CASE TO THE COURT OF APPEAL INSTEAD!

Bad experience!!! Favor was given to the tenant who doesn’t pay for 8 months now and doesn’t want to leave the basement. It’s very unfair! This is unfair!!!
Send documents as said, and as I followed but still nothing happened! I don’t understand why there’s no fairness.
Always give favours and protect the tenants! Tenant no materials or evidences served for a year but still given chance! Where is the fairness? Waste of money and time. What a “Professional Tenant” eh!

not a fan at all, I send some documents and proof of everything and my appeal was denied till this day I don't know why I was not given an explanation, waste of time and money for the poor to get justice.
