Just like someone said, AMTRAK IS ALWAYS DELAYED. However, this station is way cleaner than the San Antonio station, and there is free parking, which is a plus. I highly recommend this location to catch the train.

They do have to get rid of or control the homeless population, because they did scare my son as he was trying to use the restroom alone.

Great service by the station. It is home to many bus services including the San Marcos Carts.

The buses always comes on time in the station, although their customer service over the phone has mislead us one time with the bus timing and we had to cancel the trip afterwards.

Although overall I had a pleasant experience.

Bought 2 seperate tickets.
1 to go to downtown Austin
And one to Columbus Georgia, it would have been a 30 min walk for me to get to Eastside plaza bus station from Austin downtown, had it not been for the help from the lady at the counter with red hair in a pony tail and glasses, she helped me avoid that by getting on the bus I needed.

this is a nightmare - Sunday morning 8am the homeless population is just waking - using the “bathroom” behind building - trees..... people are waiting on the platform for an amtrak train that cares NOT about keeping any sort of schedule. This isn’t a “one time occurrence”. My father travels to Ft Worth once per month. San Marcos needs to wake up and CLEAN up this “station”. Unacceptable - filthy.

AMTRAK IS ALWAYS DELAYED. Hours & hours delayed. Google Amtrak delays. You'll find article after article on why. It's unfortunate. If you do buy rail tickets make sure you get the insurance so if your so late you decide not to even go you can get your money back. Station itself seemed nice, up kept and staffed by friendly people.

Started off good. Caught train from Oklahoma to san Antonio. Once i got to Fort worth i waited almost 2 hours because the train was behind. Finally after boarding it was constand stopping and waiting. Train is 3 hours behind schedule and counting. Was supposed to be in San Antonio at 930 and im going on midnight. Next time ill stick to greyhound. I dont recommend at all.

They do well, but need to revise bus stop locations they only have so many and if the do they are very far apart, better maintance needed for signs some have fallen or not been put back up. So riders cant see where to go. Wish they ran on Sarurday most people are off and the weekend and do thier leisure activites then. It would bosst revune for company.
