I bought 5 boxes from U-Haul and one of them was clearly defective right from the start—the print and cut lines didn’t match up at all. When I brought it back, instead of helping, the lady employee with glasses accused me of cutting or damaging it myself, which was completely false. It was never used, and the issue was clearly from the factory.

To make it worse, both a guy and one lady working there showed no interest in helping customers. Even with a long lineup, they just stood around drinking coffee and chatting about what they did yesterday. Totally unprofessional and disrespectful.

U-Haul advertises a 100% buy-back guarantee but clearly doesn’t stand by it. I won’t be coming back. Very disappointing experience.

I used the U-Haul truck to move some items from Costco to my house. The truck is well maintained and the drive was smooth. The staff were very helpful as they provided the sufficient support. I recommend U-Haul for your next need to move furniture or other items.

I’ve rented from various U-Haul locations across Canada, always with great experiences and no issues. However, the U-Haul location in St. John’s, Newfoundland, was by far my best experience ever. The staff were exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive—well done!

Rented a 15 ft moving truck, bad experience in some hard personal times, staff were as friendly as a sheet of 50 grit sandpaper, truck was something that would not pass inspection, transmission was really bad shifting, alot of damage on truck, found myself taking pics in freezing cold, gas level was lower than stated, good thing I took a pic before I left, had to argue with rep not so pleasant, like do you think I sat in the truck for 2 hours before I left so I could take a pic of a lower gas level? Response was there was no time attached to pic, really? Make sure you take pics and email them to uhaul as texting them came back, unable to send.

The wait to be served and checked out for something I already had arranged online for pick up was 45 mins. I left more 1/4 MORE gas in than I started, however my credit card was still charged for gas. No one will return my emails. The only good thing was the guy who served us

Worst service. Didn't even show me the truck location even after I said it was my first time renting a u haul. I returned the vehicle after 3 hours only and next day was charged the double amount of initial estimates. TOTAL SCAM
Never going back to this again.

Terrible customer service. Changed a 24hr truck reservation made a month in advance to a new location with a new pick up time and a new sized truck, with a 2hr window to move, a few days before the pick up date. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

Have known Krista (Gm) before she was gm there and had had nothing but 5 star service from 183 kenmount road location. One downside location is so busy it's hard to reach sometimes on phone.
