Taking the train to and from this stop seems to always be more cleaner than a lot of the other locations plus there's always guards around. I do feel safe here more than the other stations. All of the ticket machines don't work though but there's multiple you can go to just in case one of them is broken. I like how this location has an elevator as well.

Trains arriving frequently, however theres no notification displays indicating when train will arrive. Fare kiosk machines seems to work pretty well on my part, unlike NYC metros where "those" machines tends to malfunction sometimes.

Would give five stars, but the prompts on the ticket kiosks were not intuitive and a bit confusing. We stopped in this station at about 230PM on Valentines Day 2023. I was trying to figure out the best option for a week of travelling around Philly for two people. I couldn't make sense of the kiosk, so I asked for help. Yvette was awesome. She made recommendations on which pass to buy and was very friendly. We went back to the kiosk and Yvette could see that I was still struggling, so she came out from her station and assisted us with the purchase and then directed us to the platform. Very pleasant experience. It was our first experience with SEPTA, and Yvette made it a great one. Thanks!

It's really not too bad. The concourses are always empty, but they seem safe enough. The trains run on time and the station is fairly clean. What more can you expect from a subway station?

As far as subway stations in Philly go, it's in the top percentage of subway stations in Philly. It is usually clean, it is bright, and it has elevators.

Smelled like urine and saw at least one person lighting up a joint in the really long hallway. Absolutely the WORST station I have been in anywhere in the states.
