Coming here is always a negative experience. I've come in for things when I'm in a pinch for over a decade, but I'm looking to go somewhere else for accessories and repair. The young guys running this place are really weird around girls and women, which is probably why there have always been so few of them on their team. I have had to ask very simple questions repeatedly when I've come in because staff won't admit that they're not listening. Incredibly obvious things, like how male connectors can't connect with other male connectors. I'm sure the guy I spoke to naturally understood that at the time, which was earlier today, but he kept saying he didn't, wasting his time and mine just to avoid admitting to a silly mistake. It's a weird lack of humility. The staff here usually get upset too when you ask them about something they're not familiar with, like video editing/rendering or CAD stuff. Instead of asking a colleague for help when they don't have an answer, the guys here will stall and go back and forth with me, being condescending, ignoring my input, and avoiding solutions, and it often goes nowhere until I seek other assistance, which makes them even more upset. Sometimes I wonder if they're trying and failing to be impressive to a girl by trying to outdo them, which is sad, or if they're just stalling to get close enough to stare at one for a bit, which is sadder. It's just weird and unnecessary, and it's happened every time I've come in, for years. It feels like the staff want to gain an upper hand over a selection of their own customers, and it's been getting worse over time. Please watch your staff, please prioritize creating a safe environment, and please be solutions-first, above all else. That is the only thing girls are coming in for.

Title: Inexcusable Service – Avoid This Company

Placed an order with Canada Computers, waited over a week with no updates, sent two emails—no response. Finally called, only to be told the item was discontinued and my order was basically ignored.

If an item is discontinued, why is it still available to order? Why isn’t the website accurate? And if an order gets canceled, why do I have to chase them down to find out? This is basic e-commerce management, and they’ve completely failed at it.

Terrible communication, terrible service. I won’t be wasting my time here again.

Deeply disappointed by this store. Ordering things online is a pain, more expensive and the staff acts like they're doing you a favor by getting it. I ordered a CPU and motherboard combo (roughly $900) which was in stock. When I got there my CPU had been sold. When I told the store manager Brandon that I felt screwed over by this he told me "not really." Told me it would take 2 weeks to get another one, and made ZERO effort to retain my business. I've been shopping at Canada Computers for over 20 years. Every computer I've ever build has come from here. I ordered the part for cheaper off Amazon and it will be here in 2 days. Brandon COULD have offered me something else. He COULD have done literally anything but blow me off but he didn't. So when someone asks if they should shop here my response is now "not really."

The staff is very knowledgeable and well informed and prefer to speak with you on getting you the best deal for exactly what you need.
This is a very nice thing and i ended up purchasing my custom build components from them on the amazing bundle sale they were having during black friday. Very accommodating staff

LOOK AT RECENT REVIEWS. This place sucks!

This store clearly has new owners or something, because that overall rating is not relevant to the present management of the store. Note the flood of recent one star reviews.

Staff are overtly hostile and not very knowledgeable. Stock is limited, lacking even basic PCI cables or SFX power supplies, etc. They seem more intent on stocking the shelves full of Anime figurines, blenders(?) and smart toasters?

Absolute dump, avoid avoid avoid.

I used to like the store as I bought my first computer there and at that time the personnel was very nice and kind. Unfortunately, the last couple of times I've been there, the personnel have been awful. They treat you like you don't know anything about computers and then when you ask for specs you're interested they get mad and treat you very poorly, not helpful AT ALL and basically they seem to not know anything. I mean I understand you don't really need to know about tech to work in the store, but that's not a reason to treat someone like that.
